This painting is the artist’s version of Rene Magritte's 1954 painting la robe du soir, with her primary focus on the moon and the woman beguiled and engulfed by it. The deep blue the evening submerges her in the negative space. Though starting this painting rather subliminally, influenced by the Belgian artist's work and drawing her inspirations from the school of surrealism, every element the image consists of are manifestations of Eastern meditative practices and symbols.
